The Mumbai seige is actually turning out to be seige of the politicians. A little too late though.
Firstly, RR Patil thinks that the Mumbai Seige was a minor affair and had to forgo his “chair”.
Secondly, the union home minister was too incompetent to have occupied that chair anyway, and has vacated it.
Thirdly, the CM Maharashtra, VRD, to promote his son’s career, wanted to oblige RGV, the film maker.
Now (I hope lastly), it is the CM of Kerala who has gone and abused the family of Late Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, who only three days back sacrificed his life for the likes of above mentioned politicians. I have said above mentioned politicians as I feel that he and others died because of couldnt-care-less attitude of the politicians and the bureaucrats towards national security and all other aspects of public life.
Others have been shown the door, but now with reference to the last item in my list, namely, CM Achchutanandan, I feel that he should not only apologise to the family of Late Maj Sandeep, but also vacate the chair of CM where a saner person be installed. If the CM feels that it is too much for him to do then the Governor should ask him to resign. If that also fails, then a PIL should be filed in the Kerala HC by a competent advocate. The CM has not only insulted the martyr, but the whole Malyalee communitee and the nation. And if nothing happens then we are witnessing the power that the public has. The sacking of politicians is not taking place because they failed or let the nation down, but, because the public is enraged against them, as it is the public that has been betrayed by them and many more. The media is against them because the media has been given two hoots by them. So the will of the public has to be honoured. Achchutanandan should call a press conference and apologise to the family of the martyr (I do not want him to meet Sandeep’s family again) and then tender his resignation. And the public of Kerala should ensure that he never comes to serve the public again.
In a democracy. a leader is of the public, by the public and for the public. So, if a leader forgets ‘by’ and ‘for’ then he should be made to join the ‘of’ part of the principle.
