On NDTV there was a big fight over LTTE and action by Sri Lankan Army. The pro LTTE elements in the discussion were trying to compare Bhagat Singh to Prabhakaran. The point ignored by all was that Bhagat Singh and party were all Indians fighting the Brits in India against the Brit rule in India, while Prabhakaran, being a Sri Lankan is fighting the Sri Lankan government in Sri Lanka. Bhagat Singh and party never killed any one indiscriminately as had been Prabhakaran. Bhagat and party never killed anyone other than Brits who were kiling Indians or Indians who were helping the Brits. Bhagat Sing and party could have escaped after bombing the Parliament House, but did not and Prabhakaran is using helpless civilian Tamilians to protect him now and always had been. The list goes on.
Initially, Prabhakaran may have been a freedom fighter, but he let his organisation slip out of his hands and became a party to their deeds. LTTE today is the most dreaded terrorist organisation in the world.
